Here’s how our players fared tonight.
- Ronald Araujo — 9
The Uruguayan was rock-solid defensively against Real Sociedad, being Barcelona’s best performer of the night. Araujo’s speed, composure and leadership skills continue to impress.
- Marc-Andre ter Stegen — 9
The German was great during the 120 minutes against La Real, producing several brilliant saves to keep us in the game. During the penalty shootout, Ter Stegen was at his absolute best, saving two shots.
- Frenkie de Jong — 7.5
Despite the penalty he gave away and the one he missed, Frenkie was great overall, even getting a goal to his name. The Dutchman’s work-rate was as impressive as always, being useful on both ends of the pitch.
- Antoine Griezmann — 7
Although it wasn’t his best game in terms of finishing, the Frenchman once again proved that he’s a highly-creative player. Besides the assist he got to his name, Griezmann created several chances for his teammates. Unfortunately, he missed his penalty.
- Riqui Puig — 7.5
Despite getting only 30 minutes of action, the youngster put up a great show, proving that he’s perfectly fit to lead our midfield. His dribbles and passes were simply splendid. It was Riqui that scored the winning penalty.
- Ousmane Dembele — 6
Dembouz had a great start of the game, arguably being Barca’s best player in the opening 30 minutes. What happened later was ugly to watch, as Ousmane started to hold on to the ball for too long and ignore partners in better positions.
Others: Mingueza — 7, Lenglet — 7, Alba — 6.5, Busquets — 7, Pedri — 7, Braithwaite — 5, Trincao — 6, Pjanic — 7, Firpo — n/a.
