Ter Stegen says that Aduriz is the toughest opponent he’s played against in recent years.
Marc-Andre claims he usually doesn’t get nervous during games.
“I am very happy to be in goal, everything has its reasons. I like to play with my feet but I would not change it for being a goalkeeper,” Mundo Deportivo quote Marc-Andre ter Stegen saying during an event put together by Barcelona’s sponsor Rakuten.
The German went on to name the striker who’s given him the most problems during his career.
“In recent years there is a great player who has always been very difficult because he has the tact and the ‘feeling’ to be there in the penalty box, Aduriz. There are other very good ones but I hardly ever get nervous.”
Thankfully for Marc, Aritz Aduriz finished his career back in summer.
Ter Stegen has made five appearances for Barca this term, conceding four goals and keeping two clean sheets. The 28-year-old missed the start of the season through injury.
