Barca destroyed the Ukrainian side 4-0 in Kyiv on Tuesday.
The likes of Messi and De Jong were all rested after last weekend’s loss to Atletico.
Koeman was left satisfied with his side’s performance against Dynamo despite all the absentees in his squad.
“We achieved our goal, which was to get a good result and qualify for the round of 16,” Ronald Koeman told Movistar after Barcelona’s 4-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday.
“The team has shown energy. We lacked effectiveness in the first half but we had it in the second half. We can be very happy.
“Tactically, we were better than in the first game against them, especially in midfield. We had intensity and concentration. In the first game, we lacked that.
“I liked the collective image we showed today. That’s what we want. Today we have seen a very hungry team. We scored four goals, important players were able to rest, and the youngsters have deserved these minutes. They have delivered.”
Even though the likes of Lionel Messi and Frenkie de Jong didn’t even travel to the Ukrainian capital, the Catalans easily defeated Dynamo thanks to goals from Antoine Griezmann, Sergino Dest and Martin Braithwaite’s brace.
The Blaugrana return to the La Liga action on Sunday in a home clash with Osasuna.
