Toni Kroos has just tweeted it was his brother Felix who said that Leo Messi didn’t deserve to finish 3rd in FIFA The Best award, not him.
A lot of media outlets attributed this quote to the Real Madrid midfielder but he has cleared the air.
Messi finished 3rd in FIFA ‘The Best’ ranking in 2020 with the winner Robert Lewandowski and Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of him.
As for Felix Kroos, he couldn’t be satisfied with his playing career compared to his brother’s one: the 29-year-old has never won a single trophy or featured for Germany senior team.
Felix is currently playing for Eintracht Braunschweig in the 2nd Bundesliga.
