Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have sacked their manager, Nuno Espírito Santo after only four months in charge.
The English Premier club disclosed this in a statement on Monday morning via their website.
The announcement came less than two days after Tottenham 3-0 home defeat to Manchester United, courtesy of Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford goals.
“The club can today announce that Nuno Espírito Santo and his coaching staff Ian Cathro, Rui Barbosa and Antonio Dias have been relieved of their duties.
“A further coaching update will follow in due course,” Tottenham’s statement read.
Nuno was appointed permanent successor to Jose Mourinho in June, with Spurs handing him an initial two-year contract.
Tottenham’s next game is against Vitesse Arnhem in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.
