Arsenal are reportedly looking to sign Stade Reims star Boulaye Dia in an attempt to solve their goal crisis.
Le10Sport states Mikel Arteta has identified the 24-year-old forward as the man to fire Gunners back up the table in January.
The Senegal international Dia has netted eight goals in 12 games, making him the second-highest scorer in the French top-flight this term.
He’s just two strikes off Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe and has five more than the Brazil superstar Neymar.
And Dia could now be set to move to Arsenal to show Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang where the back of the net is.
Gunners captain has just two goals in the Premier League this season, with just one coming from open play.
Indeed, the Gunners as a whole have managed just ten goals in 12 matches, resulting in only five wins and leaving them 15th in the standings.
Dia’s Stade Reims contract runs until June 2022 and it’s reckoned Mikel could get him for just £10million.
However, the north Londoners face competition for Dia’s signature.
Lyon and Marseille are both thought to be huge fans as they look to close the gap on the Parisians.

And there is additional interest from the PL, with Everton also linked.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has played every match this term and Carlo Ancelotti wants to provide reliable cover for the Englishman.
But the Gunners’ dire situation could see them make the first move for Boulaye as they look to save their season before it’s too late.

It is good to get some new faces in the team but don’t think that he will penetrate in the first team so that he must go back to for other experience specially in EPL.
