UEFA have confirmed they are launching an independent report into the ‘events surrounding the UEFA Champions League final in Paris’.
The report will examine the behaviour of all parties at Stade de France. It will be led by Portuguese MP Dr Tiago Brandão Rodrigues who will be working pro bono.

The Champions League final against Real Madrid was spoiled by the events before the kick-off, with Liverpool fans complaining about the abhorrent treatment they received from the French police.
Multiple reports stated that the fans could not get into the ground even with their tickets. Instead, they were held outside for hours and even tear-gassed by the police.
Despite the claims in the media, the French authorities were quick to lay the blame on the Liverpool fans who supposedly arrived in Paris with up to 40,000 fake tickets.
UEFA delayed the kick-off due to what they initially called ‘late arrival of fans’ – despite the fact that the majority of the Liverpool supporters arrived at least two and a half hours before the match.
