Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has broken his silence on concerns surrounding star midfielder Bruno Fernandes’ fitness.
Fernandes, 26, has continued his impressive form from last season into this campaign after the Portuguese attacking midfielder has been directly involved in 24 goals from his first 29 appearances, in all competitions.
Fernandes was part of the Red Devils’ starting line-up who played out a goal-less draw against rivals Liverpool last weekend, but the Portuguese star was far from his best.
The 26-year-old’s poor performance prompted suggestions a mid-week tie against Fulham could be the perfect oppotuntity to see him rested.
However, speaking ahead of Wednesday night’s clash, Solskjaer is adamant Fernandes does not need a rest as he continued to hail his creative maestro.
