Chelsea will look to get back on track this weekend when they face Leeds United in the Premier League.
In the Blues’ last match, an entertaining but contentious game against Tottenham Hotspur ended 2-2, with a 96th-minute equalizer from Harry Kane taking two points away from Chelsea. During the game, both Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte were sent off.
Tuchel chastised referee Anthony Taylor after the game for a couple of decisions that went against Chelsea. The Blues felt Kai Havertz was fouled in the build-up to Tottenham’s first goal, while Cristian Romero could and should have been sent off for pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair.
Tuchel has confirmed that the Blues will be without N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, and Armando Broja due to injuries. Loftus-Cheek is expected to partner Jorginho in midfield, while Cucurella will remain at wing-back.
So, what might the final score be when Chelsea plays Leeds? We played the game in order to predict the outcome.
It is hard to say Leeds have gotten better ever since given the extremely small sample pool of two Premier League matches. But they are trying making do with the millions of pounds they got from selling their best player, Raphinha, to Barcelona; and Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City.
Meanwhile Chelsea should be well rested and ready to blast any opposition set in front of them, all injuries and “suspended” sideline suspensions aside.
Here are the starting lineups for the two sides involved in the Premier League fixture Leeds United vs Chelsea.
