The Moroccan has sat out the last 3 games for the Blues.
Tuchel claims that Ziyech has never experienced a competition a intense as the Premier League, which is why he needed adapting.
He had a good week in training, though, which is why he’ll featue against Barnsley, the coach confirms.
“Hopefully tomorrow we see the best of him,” Thomas Tuchel said about Hakim Ziyech’s involvement in the FA Cup clash against Barnsley.
“He had a good training week and we count on Hakim like on everybody else, there’s absolutely no doubt about that.
“We took some decisions for other players, not against him but for other players, and he will have the chance to show tomorrow the same quality he shows in training, the same determination.
“For me, it’s clear he needs to adapt to this kind of football, this kind of league. He comes from the Dutch league, from a strong Ajax squad but they were the benchmark in the league and it’s not the same intensity and competition as it is here, but he is adapting.”
Hakim Ziyech has not played in the last three games under Thomas Tuchel. His last appearance was the 0-0 draw against Wolves in the German’s first game in charge.
After that, the head coach pointed out that he decided to risk the Moroccan because of a high risk of a potential injury. Apparently, he’s fully fit now which makes the competition up front as heated as ever.
