Performs much better in the centre of a three-man defence than in a partnership with another centre-back. Did not give a sniff to McBurnie.

Comfortable in the middle of the pitch, was one of the players to set up Mount’s goal.
Mount – 7
Energetic as ever, scored a vital goal before the break. Made a mockery out of Lundstram with an outrageous flick.
Chilwell – 5
Did not justify being picked ahead of Alonso, was lucky not to concede a penalty.
Giroud – 5
Largely anonymous, Sheffield United managed to nullify the threat he usually carries.
