After Pogba’s latest comment about not having fun and the United dressing room not feeling like a family, what next for him?
Pogba, who is taking in UEFA Nations League duty with his country, has told RTL: “I had never known such a difficult period in my career.
“The France team is a breath of fresh air, the group is exceptional, it’s magic.
“It’s not that in the club we don’t have fun, but here it’s not the same. We laugh. It’s really a family.”
Apparently, this is the most difficult period of his career according to him, but Pogba might need to win Man Utd fans back again.
Man Utd fans obviously didn’t take those comments likely with so many of the opinion it should be the last straw. And in truth, those comments were very disrespectful to the football club.
Man Utd fans pride themselves as supporting the biggest football club in the world and having an expensive investment make such comments doesn’t put the club in good light.
This isn’t the first time Pogba is doing something that has ranked with United supporters. After the 2018 world Cup, he refused to openly quash rumours about discontentment and a potential Barcelona move.
In 2019 following the club’s 6th place finish in the Premier League, he began to get himself in the headlines again, saying he was ready for a new challenge.
United remained adamant that Poga was an important part of their project and refused to let their star man go.
His 2019/20 season was hampered by ankle injuries that eventually required surgery. He returned after the Covid-19 break and looked a happy man, playing well too.
But a difficult start to this season, where Pogba has started only one of United’s last 6 games, has got him talking again. During the last international break, he revealed a never dying dream to play for Real Madrid one day. And now this latest controversial family comments of the United squad.
Pogba is a player that United loved to welcome back but it hasn’t planned out well. On the pitch, he is too inconsistent, playing five good games in a whole season has become the norm for four years now.
Fans are now turning on him and to be fair to them, it isn’t unfair on Pogba, he’s probably going through a difficult time regards to playing time but it isn’t really a case of squad togetherness, that’s a disrespect to the rest of his team mates.
Bruno Fernandes’ consistent performances for the Red Devils has blown away that notion that Pogba needs to be unlocked by very defensive players.
United fans are dissatisfied, and Pogba needs to win them back or they could be booing him every match day when they finally return to Old Trafford.
He might as well start by putting in more effort on the pitch and saying only the right things about the club, otherwise his team mates could become fed up as well.
