The Catalans do not want to worsen the relationship between the clubs that is already ‘damaged’.

1. Barcelona have been irritated by Bayern’s persistent efforts to sign Blaugrana players without their permission. The Bavarians have been in constant contact with Sergino Dest’s representatives and also tried to convince Pedri not to sign a new contract with Barca.
2. Bayern Munich do not appreciate Barcelona’s intention to play in the European Super League.
3. Barcelona have suffered a few heavy defeats against Bayern in recent years and still hold a grudge against the Bundesliga champions.
