- This season, Willian has scored three goals in 21 matches.
It looks like FC Barcelona transfer target Willian is getting close to signing a new deal that will keep him at Chelsea for at least one more season.
Speaking to Yahoo Sport (h/t Sky Sports), the 31-year-old said: “I have stated several times my wish is to stay at Chelsea. I like the club very much, I feel very welcomed here, as well as my family, and we love living in London.
“However, I’m in the middle of the season and I try not to think about it so as not to lose focus on the field. My agent and the club are talking and I hope we can have some good news soon. In transfer windows, it is normal to have bids and speculations, especially for players who are in the final contract. But my focus is 100 per cent on Chelsea and the season.”

Willian has long been linked with FC Barcelona even though he may be considered too old for the Blaugrana attack. The winger has made 21 appearances this season and scored three goals. Transfermarkt value the Brazilian at 32 million euros.

Willian’s current deal expires at the end of the season and he has made it clear he would like to extend his stay at Chelsea. However, a long-term deal is unlikely since the Blues normally offer one-year deals to aged players.
