“We don’t see ourselves as favourites to win the Europa League,” Xavi told reporters after Barcelona’s 2-1 win at Galatasaray.
“We are candidates, but Sevilla are better because they know the competition.”
Xavi’s team are now on an impressive run of 11 games unbeaten in all competitions.
The Blaugrana will find out their Europa League quarter-final opponents on Friday afternoon, before travelling to the Bernabeu to face Real Madrid on Sunday.
It must be noted that Sevilla have been knocked out of the competition by West Ham. Apparently, Xavi didn’t know this at the time ☺️
