In the presser ahead of the match against Real Madrid, Xavi was asked whether he believed that Barcelona were the favourites in the match considering the recent results in El Clasico.
The coach disagreed and insisted that if there is one thing that will give the Barca players an edge, it’s their hunger for titles.
“We are hungry for titles. We desire success, we have many players in the squad whose only trophy is the Supercopa and this is important,” Diario Sport quote Xavi saying.
Madrid, indeed, have a squad full of decorated players. And even our youngsters come after a season in which they won La Liga and the Champions League.
Barca, on the other hand, have only won the Supercopa in the last two years.
