After being suspended from Twitter a year ago, Jack Sweeney, the founder of an account that provides tracking updates on the location of Elon Musk’s private jet, has switched his activity to Mark Zuckerberg’s competing platform, Threads.
Sweeney’s first post on Thursday read, “ElonJet has arrived to Threads!” from the account handle @elonmusksjet, which as of Saturday am had nearly 21,000 followers.
Suspended Twitter account tracking ElonJet has been able to trace the movements of Musk’s private plane by utilizing data that is freely available to the public.

ElonJet’s account was suspended in December by Twitter Inc., which is owned by Musk. The tycoon threatened legal action against the account’s operator after claiming that his son had been accidentally followed by a “crazy stalker.”

Threads, which is owned by Meta and poses a direct challenge to Twitter, has attracted millions of users in a matter of hours. Among them are notable figures such as Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, and Democratic U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The company hopes to capitalize on the weakened state of its competitor as a result of a series of haphazard decisions made by Musk.
Threads, which is owned by Meta and presents a direct challenge to Twitter, has gained millions of users in a couple of hours since it was released. Among them are well-known people like Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who is a Democratic representative in the United States House of Representatives.
