What Afriupdate is

Afriupdate is a free information service. We summarise publicly announced jobs, scholarships, internships, fellowships and relocation programmes and link to the official application page. We are not an employer, recruiter, university, government body or immigration adviser, and we do not process applications or issue visas.

Accuracy of listings

We check listings against official sources before publishing, but deadlines, requirements and salaries change without notice. Always confirm details on the official page before applying. If you spot an error, tell us and we will correct or remove the listing.

No fees, ever

We never charge you to view or apply for an opportunity and we never ask for payment to "secure" a job, scholarship or visa. Anyone asking you to pay in our name is not acting for us — report it through our contact page.

Your account

You are responsible for your account and for the accuracy of what you submit. Keep your sign-in details private. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Community and submissions

Do not post content that is:

• false, misleading, or a scam, including paid "visa guarantee" offers;
• hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent or illegal;
• spam, bulk promotion, or someone else's copyrighted material;
• another person's private data shared without their permission.

You keep ownership of what you post and grant us a licence to display, store and distribute it on the site. We may edit, refuse or remove submissions and community posts at our discretion, and we moderate before opportunities go live.

Advertising and third-party links

The site shows advertising and contains links to third-party sites, some of which are affiliate or sponsored links. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, terms or privacy practices.

Intellectual property

The Afriupdate name, design and original content belong to us. Employer, institution and programme names and logos belong to their owners and are used to identify the opportunity being described.

Liability

The site is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on a listing, from an application outcome, or from any interruption to the service.

Changes

We may update these terms and will revise the date above. Continuing to use Afriupdate after a change means you accept the updated terms. See also our Privacy Policy.
